Then consider trying mountain biking.
The best trails near our American Fork apartments include:
Rock Canyon Trail
Rock Canyon is one of the last remaining urban forests in the United States. Its majestic beauty and unique geological formations draw thousands of visitors from around the world. The trail spans nearly four miles, and it welcomes both hikers and mountain bikers. Riders find it features rough, rocky climbs, and offers scenic views of the cliff walls. Explorers cross five bridges on their way up, and this trail is rated as intermediate.
Pine Hollow Trail
If you're looking for a less crowded adventure, try the Pine Hollow Trail. It's found in the American Fork Canyon and is relatively steep with tough climbing and steep side slopes. The overall average grade is around 650 vertical feet. The path meanders through an aspen forest and provides scenic mountain views.
Cardiff Fork Trail
The Cardiff Fork Trail provides a fun adventure for hikers and mountain bikers alike. Silver mining began in the area in 1906. As you head up the trail, you'll see mine shafts, rusted equipment, and massive piles of tailings. The vertical cliffs of Reed and Benson Ridge are to the east, while the western slopes allow for the exploration of spines and saddles between Cardiff and other canyons. Cardiff Fork spans just over six miles and is best ridden during the summer and fall months.
